Woolly Acres is now located
just ten minutes northeast of Kingston, Ontario. Our farm has 67
acres of pastures, paddocks, forests and trails which are well suited
for raising our sheep, dogs and children. Visitors are always welcome
and farm tours and sheep dog demonstrations can be arranged.
Our Shetland Sheep breeding program focuses on breeding Shetland Sheep
for spotting genetics and top quality coloured fibre. Shetlands are a
small, primitive, hardy breed known for their soft wool in a variety of
colours. Our sheep are tame and each one has a name. Breeding rams, ewes and pet wethers are available year round.
Our Border Collies are a natural addition to our sheep operation, adding
versatility to our ability to manage pastures, move the flock and do chores.
Border Collies are the premier herding dog with tremendous natural gathering
ability and are tireless workers. Our dogs are bred for soundness, working
ability and good temperament. They are intelligent and faithful companions.
We compete in sheep dog trials each summer. Puppies are carefully socialized
and new owners are encouraged to visit often to get to know their pups.

Woolly Acres has a new group of Shetland lambs available for sale. They will be old enough to go to their new homes in August 2008. We have some beautiful Shetland ram lambs which would make either great breeding stock or wonderful fibre pets if wethered. Check out the new lamb photos and book your lambs now!
We have a wide range of fleece types and colours available for spinners. We also have a few fleeces left over from last year which are now available for half price.
We will be breeding Jill again this spring and are currently putting names on a waiting list for her next litter. Please contact us if you would like your name put on this list.
